Water Therapy

About 71 percent of the earth’s surface is water-covered. In the case of humans, 60% of the human adult body is water; it constitutes 75% of the body weight. Besides, 70% of the human brain is water.

Water is essential for all body functions and processes, including digestion and elimination. When you are on a diet, water also acts as a weight-loss aid because it can help you eat less. Drinking water is essential during weight loss because it provides hydration without unwanted calories.

There are many evidence-based health benefits of drinking plenty of water:

  • It helps get rid of many diseases in the body;
  • Drinking water in the morning helps in flushing all the toxins in the body and cleanses your intestines;
  • It nurtures, lubricates, and detoxifies when it flows out of the body as urine;
  • It helps with digestion, cools and balances;
  • Helps maximize physical performance;
  • Significantly affects energy levels and brain function;
  • May help prevent and treat headaches;
  • May help relieve constipation;
  • May help treat kidney stones;
  • Helps prevent hangovers;
  • Aid weight loss.

To get maximum benefits of water, one must follow some tips for drinking water:

  • Drink 1-2 glasses of water before eating anything in the morning;
  • Drink 2-3 liters of water/day;
  • Drink warm water in the morning. You can add lemon/ginger/jaggery/honey in it;
  • Drink water half an hour before having a meal;
  • Drink water after half an hour after the meal;
  • Drink water slowly in small sips;
  • Have water-rich foods such as cucumber, tomato.

Water deficiency causes many health issues. It is due to dehydration and has some implications:

  • Persistent Bad Breath. Water is essential for saliva production and helps rinse away bacteria so you can maintain healthy teeth and gums;
  • Fatigue. Not drinking enough water can cause an overall fluid loss in the body;
  • Frequent Illness;
  • Constipation;
  • Poor Skin Health;
  • Sugar Cravings;
  • Decreased Urination.

Make it a habit of drinking water to maintain the water level in a body, for a healthy body.

Balanced Life

Once I saw gymnasts performing artistic gymnastics. I was very impressed with the balance of all gymnasts.

Therefore, I went to the coach and asked him about the secret of that balance. He told me that one could achieve it through proper training and regular practice with dedication.

His answer enlightened me. I kept on thinking about bringing that balance into my life.

Every human-beings life is different. It consists of many aspects: personal life, professional life, and social life.

We need to maintain balance in life for a happy and prosperous life.

When we are living with balance in life, we are living with peace and harmony every day. Balance comes in physical forms, emotional forms, and a spiritual form.

A balance leads to a happy and contented life; it ensures our growth as an individual and secures our mental peace and well-being.

Your proper thought process helps you to maintain your mental health. Reading good books will help in our mental balance ( https://ables.in/2020/07/24/stress-management/).

3. Emotional Balance :

Emotional balance occurs when we allow ourselves to feel whatever comes into our life; without feeling stifled or overwhelmed and learn to accept our feelings without judgment.

Try to develop your emotional intelligence to achieve emotional balance in your life (https://ables.in/2018/06/01/importance-of-eq-emotional-intelligence-2/)

6. Spiritual balance :

It is the most neglected aspect of today’s life. Being spiritual is different from being religious. Spiritual balance means to be in regular contact with self by inner peace and meditation ( https://ables.in/2020/04/07/meditation/).

If we focus too much on one area, then we risk neglecting another one.

It’s an art; we must master it for a balanced life.

One can achieve balance in life through continuous learning, training, and proper guidance…✍️

Balanced Diet

Scientifically speaking, a healthy diet or balanced diet is a diet (what you eat) that contains the right amounts of all the food groups. It includes fruit, vegetables, grains, dairy products, and protein.

Somehow, we have misunderstood the concept of a balanced diet, and consequences are visible; there is an increase in diet-related health issues, almost in all countries.

In the current scenario, diet is likely to play a crucial role in your health and fitness as due to hectic schedules, we get less time for physical activity.

Many scientific kinds of research proved that diet contributes almost 70% to your health and fitness. Every balanced diet must have these seven essential factors: carbohydrates, protein, fat, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and water. A well-balanced diet provides vitamins, minerals, and nutrients to keep the body and mind strong and healthy.

Eating well can also help ward off numerous diseases and health complications, maintain healthy body weight, provide energy, allow better sleep, boost our immunity and improve brain function.

Due to less physical activity, we are likely to develop many diet-related health issues; if we ignore the importance of a balanced diet.

Here are some dos and don’ts in diet :

Happiness leads to Prosperity – 2020 !!!

Yes, it is true!

Happiness –> Prosperity –> Success.

Let’s see what does prosperity means?

Prosperity is flourishing, thriving, good fortune, and successful social status. It is often associated with wealth, happiness, and health. It is dependent upon your happiness and balance in your life. To prove this fact, I have done some analysis.

In 2020, the same countries topped the list in a survey on the happiness index of 156 countries. I have noted down the names of the top 20 happiest countries.

1. Finland6. The Netherlands11. Canada16. Ireland
2. Denmark7. Sweden12. Australia17. Germany
3. Switzerland8. New Zealand13. United Kingdom18. United States
4. Iceland9. Austria14. Israel19. The Czech Republic
5. Norway10. Luxembourg15. Costa Rica20. Belgium

If we look at the list of countries that topped in Prosperity ranking, there are almost the same.

1. Denmark6. The Netherlands11. Iceland16. Australia
2. Norway7. New Zealand12. Ireland17. Hong Kong
3. Switzerland8. Germany13. United Kingdom18. United States
4. Sweden9. Luxembourg14. Canada19. Japan
5. Finland10. Austria15. Singapore20. Taiwan

Our India is 101st in the overall Prosperity Index rankings and 144th in the Happiness Index rankings. If we want our country to top both the lists – the Happiness index and the Prosperity index, we need to work on those factors that our culture taught us. We need to go back to our roots and relearn again what we have forgotten.

Our ancestors have taught the world about values and ethics for leading happy and prosperous life. It is now time to enlighten ourselves with that forgotten knowledge by reading books, scriptures written long back in our Indian culture.

Our country was once the happiest and prosperous country in the world because of its rich culture, morals, and values. We must follow the same path to bring back that golden era of our country…✍️

जिंदगी भर अपने मन को मारकर जीना;

चेहरे से मुस्कान का गायब होना, और हमेशा सूरत रोती रखना;

The Missing Part

In our childhood, we used to play puzzles. Initially, solving those puzzles seemed to be very difficult. However, with proper help and practice, we could solve every puzzle.

Our life is also a puzzle. Every day brings a new one for us to solve. Puzzles that we have to deal with in life are different from our childhood games. They are very complicated with lots of options. It becomes tedious to identify that particular missing part from all available options. Everyone deal with those puzzles as per his/her abilities and capabilities.

  • Many take efforts to solve those puzzles;
  • Many find it difficult to solve it, so they take help from experts;
  • Many decide to leave them unsolved and continue to live life as it is.

Until my teenage, I used to leave many difficulties unsolved, which caused me many losses in the future. Later, I learned how important it was to take help and effort to solve every puzzle life serves on our plate.

It helped me to find that missing part of my life.

In the future, I decided to take those professions, which gave me opportunities to help others in identifying that missing part of their life, which was holding them back.

As a Coach, Counselor, Consultant, Interior Designer, Dietitian, Fitness professional, Therapist, Trainer, Mentor, and Motivational speaker, I got many opportunities to help others to find that missing part of their life, health, wellness, emotions, feelings, thought process, career, and education to take proper decision for a happy and prosperous life…✍️

A fruitful November after lockdowns

Due to the pandemic, we had to stay at home for our safety. The lockdown was necessary for our health and safety.

The most beneficiary from the lockdown was Mother Nature. We have seen and heard the good news about the healing of the earth due to the lockdown.

During the lockdown, I followed my methods for my physical and mental health. I am happy to achieve the desired results.

I have noted down a few things that I did in lockdown :

  • I watched Ramayana, Mahabharata, and Chanakya on the DD network – It helped to learn the importance of human life and its values. It also reminded me of our rich Indian culture;
  • I read Bhagwat Gita twice. It helped me to learn many things about human life and the way of living it effectively;
  • Did meditation, omkar mantra, pranayama, yoga, bodyweight exercises, weight training, pilates, and kickboxing for a healthy mind and body;
  • Online mentoring sessions for students, aspiring people who are looking for a job, wanted to set up a new business, homemakers, and working women;
  • I have published two fictions on Amazon Kindle – Digging Gold Out Of Mine – A Life -Changing Book ( https://ables.in/2020/05/08/digging-gold-out-of-mine-a-life-changing-book/) and “Why Am I So Unhappy?” (https://ables.in/2020/09/23/why-am-i-so-unhappy/). The characters in these books will help us to understand the day to day challenges we face in our lives and how to overcome them for a happy life.
  • I improved my indoor games – Chess and Carrom.

I hope many of you must have utilized your lockdowns very productively. I will love to hear about it as it will inspire and motivate many.

After a lockdown, I got the opportunity for face to face training sessions, counseling, and consulting sessions from October:

  • Conducted Lectures for students on Employability skills (Academic) in Wai;
  • Consulted for an interior design project for two studio flats in Pune;
  • Consulted for an interior design project for a coffee shop and snack center in Pune.
  • Conducted a session on ‘ Stress Management’ for a kitty group in Pune;
  • Three face to face counseling sessions in Pune.
  • I have started with the draft of my third book and will publish it very soon.

Though lockdown affected all of us financially, mentally, emotionally, and physically; we are coming back on track 👏👏👏

Better days are coming…✍️

Designing and working out at your home gym

As a fitness professional and Interior Designer, I helped many to design their home gym and to use it effectively as a gym for desired fitness. I am happy to get positive results for myself from my home gym and for helping others in getting good results from their home gyms.

I personally and professionally feel a home gym is a good option if you are ready to put a little time and effort into your workout at home; it can be just as effective as a gym workout.

Benefits of working out at home:

  • It saves time. There is no traveling or waiting for machines or equipment;
  • It’s a low cost. There are no gym fees or expensive equipment needed;
  • Work out anytime. You can exercise on your schedule, no matter the time of day or night;
  • Privacy;
  • Go at your own pace.

Home gyms are also more convenient because they are right at home, making it a lot easier for you to fit workouts into your day. You are more likely to stick to your fitness plan provided by an expert if you have a home gym because you cannot make excuses about not having time to go to the gym.

Life is hectic, but working out at home makes it easy to fit into your busy lifestyle.

  • It is flexible and versatile;
  • Availability is never an issue;
  • Germs are not a concern as one can maintain social distance at home;
  • You can enjoy your privacy;
  • The environment will always be comfortable;
  • You can focus on your fitness;
  • It is budget-friendly.

You can get fit at home using bodyweight exercises alone, or you might invest in getting a diet plan and fitness regime from a fitness professional/wellness coach/dietitian for motivation.

Working out at home is seriously underrated in the world of fitness. As with any activity, depending upon your available budget, you can create anything from a dedicated gymnasium facility according to your requirements.

You can complete a perfectly good fitness routine at home, using nothing more than your body weight. As you progress in your training, you can increase the reps you complete of each exercise, raise the number of sets, and reduce the rest time.

There are some Pros and Cons of Working Out at Home :

Pros Cons
  • Convenience
  • Boredom
  • Cost
  • Excuses
  • Variety
  • Space

You can nullify the cons by taking help from a Wellness coach/Fitness Professional/ Dietitian who can motivate you and guide you to use your home gym effectively.

The Fitness professional will help you to design your diet and fitness regime as per your routine, thus motivating you to stick to your plans.

Mentoring and its benefits

Everyone in this world needs proper guidance to be successful in their career and life.

The person who provides that guidance is called a mentor. The process of providing that guidance, sharing knowledge, skills, and life experience to guide another towards reaching their full potential is mentoring.

Let us further understand what mentoring is :

  • It is a positive, supportive relationship, encouraging young people to develop to their fullest potential;
  • It entails informal communication, usually face-to-face and during a sustained period;
  • A mentor passes skills and knowledge to the mentee;
  • It is a long-term process based on mutual trust and respect;
  • It is more focused on creating an informal association between the mentor and mentee;
  • It is a learning relationship, generally focused on long term career development;
  • It offers the chance to improve communication skills and develop leadership abilities;
  • It helps to grow their confidence in areas of expertise;
  • The primary purpose is personal growth, building skills, knowledge, and understanding.

A mentor invests their time and effort into their mentorship duties and truly wants to help a mentee grow in their personal and professional life.

Benefits of having a Mentor

  • Encouragement and support for growth and improvement;
  • Guidance/collaboration;
  • Advice;
  • Building a professional network;
  • Receiving feedback on behavior;
  • Open your mind to new ideas and possibilities;
  • Identify opportunities and advise on how to promote yourself;
  • The growth opportunity will be immense.

Mentoring depends on trust, confidentiality, mutual respect, and sensitivity. A mentor may help with exploring careers, setting goals, developing contacts, and identifying resources.

Eight Tips for Getting the Most Out of Mentoring :

  1. Spend time with your mentor;
  2. Articulate your goals and objectives;
  3. Come to meetings prepared;
  4. Have your mentor observe you in action;
  5. Build your network.

Friends, looking at the benefit of mentoring and having a mentor, one must go for mentoring. It will be beneficial for your personal and professional growth.

इसीलिए वहीं खरीदे जो ‘Made In India’ हो।

‘Make in India’ सारखेच ‘Make in Maharashtra’ बोलण्याची वेळ आली आहे.
